Summer School and Workshop on "Higher Structures" organized by CRC 1624

During the weeks of Sept 1 - Sept 5, 2025 and Sept 8 - Sept 12, 2025 the CRC 1624 hosted two events on the central CRC theme "Higher structures". Both events focused on "Recent developments and applications".

A summer school during the first week offered several mini-courses, accompanied by exercise sessions, featuring recent developments in factorization homology, (∞,n)-categories, skein theory, and 4D TFT.

The second week featured a workshop with specialized talks by international experts on a wide spectrum of topics involving higher structures.

Thus catering towards both the training of early career scientists as well as bringing together leading experts on the subject, the events aroused the interest of more than 120 registered participants each.
