Overview

This CRC is a joint venture of mathematicians and physicists. It has equally strong motivations from both fields. The interplay between mathematics and theoretical physics is highly beneficial for both sides. Mathematics provides concepts for the formulation of physical theories, and instruments for deriving their predictions. Physics has suggested profound and surprising relations between different parts of mathematics. This CRC brings both of these directions together.
